Kissan Kerala is an integrated, multi-modal Agriculture Information System for Kerala. One of the leading citizen-centric e-governance projects of the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala, conceptualized, implemented and managed by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-K). Kissan provides several ICT enabled agricultural information services to the farming community. Kissan Provides information services through multi-modal delivery platforms like Online services, Television program, mobile based information services, touch screen kiosks etc.
This channel provides telecast quality informative videos on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and allied topics.
DD Kisan
Doordarshan, the largest public broadcasting orgnaisation in the world in terms of the studio and transmitter infrastructure is going to launch a new channel called “DD KISAN” which will be the world’s pioneer channel dedicated to rural India especially for the farmers.
“Rural India is the backbone of our country and there is a need to strengthen the same and the farmers”, said Prime Minister of India in his first parliamentary speech.

Krishi Darshan
Krishi Darshan saw daylight as an agriculture telecast on 26 Jan, 1967. It was inaugurated by then then Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi for the Farmer Community. The Program was telecast first with limited technical resources from a large Aakashvani hall. It was based on farmer's agriculture problems comprising of agriculture research agronomical practices animal development, fisheries, rural development and elites. All the information was provided by Agricultural Specialists through KRISHI DARSHAN.
It was telecast twice a week i.e. Wednesday and Friday, in Delhi and nearby areas with duration of 20 mins. Soon, KRISHI DARSHAN was telecast on all weekdays with duration of 30 mins at 6.30-7.00 pm IST.
The morning KRISHI DARSHAN telecast also started on a narrow telecasting system nationwide on all days except Sunday at 6.30-7.00 am IST.
